Coriander Rice - Recipe

No added masala | Healthy Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup - of Rice

1.5 cups  - Water (For Rice)

Potato - 1

Capsicum - 1

Onions - 2

Coriander leaves

Green chillies - 2 or 3

Gram dhal - 1 teaspoon

White urid dhal - 1 teaspoon

Mustard seeds - 2 teaspoons

Salt to taste

A pinch turmeric

Lemon juice - 1 spoon

Oil for cooking

Fenugreeks - 1 teaspoon

Red chillies - 3 to 4

Preparation

Powder

Dry roast until fenugreek turns dark brown then add mustard seeds and chilles roast for 2 seconds.

Once cooled down grind it into fine powder.

Paste

Add cut coriander leaves, salt, and turmeric powder and whip it 2 times

Main
Cut veggies, onions and chilles.

Pour a tablespoon of oil or butter and add a pinch of hing.

Add gram dhal, white urid dhal, and mustard seeds.

Add chillies and veggies and onions.

Cook in high flame for 5  mins using a lid.

Once cooked add powder and paste.

Add rice and lemon juice.

 


Tips

Add little oil to rice before cooking to avoid sticky rice.

Add lemon juice after cooling to avoid a bitter taste.

Add paneer if needed.

Best serve for dinner.
