Pizza - Recipe & Tips
A healthy alternative method
Ingredients
Whole wheat atta - 3 cups (3 Medium size pizza's)
Sour curd - 2 cups (keep curd 2 days without refrigerating)
Salt as per taste - 1 tea spoon
Sugar - 1/2 tea spoon or less
Oregano - 2 tea spoons
Vegies - all kinds of salad vegetables like capsicum, corn, carrot, onions, baby corn.
Spices & Peppers - all kinds of spices like jalapenos, paprika, olives.
Pizza sauce or homemade tomato paste with flavouring.
Preparation
Pizza Base
To the whole wheat atta mix - curd, salt, sugar and oregano.
Make the batter soft and smooth.
Knead it for 5 mins using butter, oil is an alternative.
Leave the batter for 30 minutes with a closed lid.
After the wait, knead wheat batter again 2 min.
Make 3 equal medium sized separations to the batter.
Preheat oven at 230 degree (C) for 2 min.
Run-down butter over the oven plate, oil is an alternative.
Make the shape of the base on the oven plate and curve off the edges.
Pizza Toppings
Add the sauce and spread evenly.
Add first layer of cheese.
Add all veggies and spice toppings.
Finally add a layer of cheese.
Bake it at180 degree (C) for 30 minutes.
Add oregano & chilli flakes.
Enjoy healthy whole wheat pizza without yeast with the same taste at home.
Tips
If no butter, use olive oil instead, since it allows a softer base.For more cheese, add cheese even with toppings.
Alternative for sour curd will be baking powder.
For much more fluffy base, leave the batter for 1 hour instead of 30 minutes.
Make the base (crust) not too thin or not too thick.
